* UPDATE * There was a typo in the email instructions that went out on May 28th regarding the incoming mail server port. You should not need to change it but if you already did and are experiencing connection problems make sure it is port 993
As we continue to phase out the Southo.net domain, there are some additional important adjustments you will need to make. We will be here to asssist you through it all should you need a hand.
** The following only applies if you are using Southo.net mail services. If you are using anything else like Gmail or Office365, you don’t need to make any changes. **
- Tomorrow, May 29th, the SouthO.net SSL certificate will expire.
- Late tonight, May 28th, we will be changing our SSL Certificate for our hosting and mail servers to the new domain PacificCoastData.com.
When you check you’re mail on May 29th and you are using our mail server names mail.southo.net, you will have some security errors. Don't worry all you need to do is update your mail apps with the new mail server names by following the steps below.
- Just go into the email account settings on your device
- Set the outgoing and incoming server names from mail.southo.net to mail.pacificcoastdata.com.
- You will want to keep the 'Use SSL' or 'My server requires SSL' settings for both outgoing (port 465) and incoming (port 993) mail services.
- If you get stuck give us a call and we can walk you through it.
Absolutely no mail will be lost in this transition. Only delayed until this chage is made.
Again, thank you for your patients through our growing pains. We truly appreciate you.
